The Yellowfin story started in the 80s, when research into super-cavitating foils, initially focussing on their use in super fast sailing craft, revealed that VSD (variable surface drive) technology could play a key role in the evolution of powerboat drives.

In terms of its benefits for the powerboat user, VSD, which Yellowfin has developed, is far ahead of other new-generation drives. Delivering easy driving and docking, major performance and fuel economy improvements, fingertip steering, turn-on-the-spot precision manoeuvrability, and fully controlled braking, VSD enables a whole new experience for the boat user.

Today, with worldwide patents granted and pending, Yellowfin is moving towards its production launch working with its selected partners.
